WASTE WATER SAFETY TRAINING - $69.95

This program is applicable for all waste water and water recycling personnel as well as anyone working with the maintenance of facility equipment and distribution systems. Each of these topics is designed to impart safety training and knowledge so necessary in the waste water environment.

WASTE WATER SAFETY TRAINING

Advanced Hand & Power Tool Safety (1033HE)

Organizations such as Underwriters Laboratories, Consumer Product Safety Commission, OSHA and ANSI have made major strides in evaluating and testing tools in an effort to make using tools safer. Hand and power tools are the “Bread and Butter” of any public agency; therefore the information in this program is critical. This presentation covers circular saws, jig saws, plunge cutters, routers, power drills, power impact tools, and more. (20 minutes)

Chlorine Safety (3008AE)

Chlorine is the major chemical used for the sanitation of water, swimming pool disinfection, or in the treatment process of sewage. Handling, storing, and using chlorine in cylinders becomes very important to those persons working with the chemical. This program focuses on the hazards of Chlorine, how to handle emergencies, and preventing spills and leaks. (18 minutes)

Confined Space Entry (3018AE)

Failure to closely follow specific rules, regulations, and confined space safety standards can cause injury or even death. When entering a manhole, vault, or other confined space, there is more involved than just lowering the tester and going to work. This program discusses oxygen deficiency, flammable gases, toxic gases and vapors are covered. Defines a confined space, rules, and emergency procedures. (22 minutes)

Disinfection Chemical Safety - Sodium/Calcium Hypochlorite Safety (3042AE)

This important subject details the safety considerations for working with these corrosive and potentially hazardous products such as the toxic and other hazardous properties, first aid, storage, PPE, and safe handling procedures. (15 minutes)

Lockout/Tagout – Hazardous Energy Source (1004AE)

Locking out of electricity prevents electrical equipment from accidental release of electricity during maintenance and repair. This program talks about “authorized” and “affected” employees, “normal production operation,” lock out systems, tags, and much more. (10 minutes)

Personal Protective Equipment (1007BE)

Focus is on the importance of using personal protective equipment. This program discusses about head protection, gloves, eye and hearing protection, footwear, respirators, and other aspects of protective equipment designed to make you safer. (10 minutes)

Competent Person and Soils Classification (3041AE)

Addresses the requirements placed on the Competent Person for ensuring a safe trenching project. This program emphasizes soil classification requirements and the duties and requirements of a competent person, soil testing, inspections, trench protection, confined space considerations, emergencies and other applicable hazards. (22 minutes)

Field Operations Safety for Public Works and Construction (3045AE)

Addresses safety considerations for field personnel associated with the installation, maintenance and repair of water and waste water systems. An excellent overview of many of the risks and hazards associated with field equipment, PPE, tools and safety procedures in order to avoid the consequences of unsafe activities. (15 minutes)

Water System Operator Safety (3048AE)

This program addresses the hazards and safety considerations important to system operators such as driving, disinfection chemicals, valve maintenance, confined spaces, traffic, hand tools and more. (15 minutes)

Treatment Plant Safety (3009AE)

This production discusses hazards commonly found in most water and waste water treatment plants and laboratories. Discusses machine guarding, chemicals, chlorine, lab safety, confined space entry, ladders, fall prevention, hazardous energy control and much more. (18 minutes)

Hydro-Vacuum Truck Safety (3031AE)

Addresses risks and hazards associated with vacuum trucks to help ensure that employees are properly trained in order to work safely around or near these high powered trucks. This program reviews PPE requirements, operating safety and more. (12 minutes)

Utility Truck Operations and Safety (3046AE)

Reviews safety, maintenance and operations of utility or crew trucks used in field operations. Also addresses much of the ancillary equipment such as compressors, jack hammers, welding equipment and hand tools. (14 minutes)
