This training is applicable to any job specialty, as electricity is found in every environment. Training is specifically applicable to electricians, maintenance and mechanical trades, air conditioning and refrigeration, water and much more. ELECTRICAL SAFETY TRAINING

Advanced Hand & Power Tool Safety (1033HE)

Organizations such as Underwriters Laboratories, Consumer Product Safety Commission, OSHA and ANSI have made major strides in evaluating and testing tools in an effort to make using tools safer. This presentation covers circular saws, jig saws, plunge cutters, routers, power drills, power impact tools, and more. (20 minutes)

NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Arc Flash Safety (1030HE)

Under OSHA requirements, the NFPA 70E places additional requirements to properly identify hazards and provide training for anyone working around electrical equipment. The video includes reducing arc flash hazards, protection, personal protective equipment, signs and labeling, training, documentation, work permits, and more. (18 minutes)

Bonding and Grounding of Flammable Liquids Transfers (1005F)

This program includes static electricity, bonding and grounding flammable liquids, flashpoints, how to reduce effects of potential explosions by reducing static electricity when transferring flammables. (9 minutes)

Electrical Safety (1048IE)

This presentation is on electrical safety, grounding of electrical equipment, power/extension cords, double-insulation, 3-prong plugs, wires, and a good safety overview of electrical safety in the workplace. (17 minutes)

Electrical Safety Related Work Practices Standard (1013HE)

This program addresses the new standard of safe work practices as a means of preventing electrical injuries. It defines qualified and unqualified employees, inspections, training and requirements when working with de-energized circuit parts. (12 minutes)

Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI) (C002EE)

Insulation and grounding are two means of preventing injury during electrical equipment operation. The use of a GFCI is one method used to overcome grounding and insulation deficiencies. This program is designed to show the use of GFCIs and how the system works. Explains the elements of a mandatory GFCI written program. (11 minutes)

Hazardous Energy Source – Lockout/Tagout (1043AE)

This selection includes information about “authorized” and “affected persons, personnel who work near machines, machine operators, and maintenance personnel. Explains hazardous energy sources, lock and tag requirements, and auditing machinery. It also includes the requirements of a written program and training documentation. (15 minutes)

Portable Generator Hazards and How to Avoid Them (3036AE)

Portable generators are useful when temporary or remote electric power is needed, but they can be hazardous. This program includes information on carbon monoxide, electrical and fire hazards. (7 minutes)

Unsafe Acts – Human Behavior (1003CE)

The National Safety Council has analyzed employee accidents and determined the cause of most accident is due to unsafe acts by employees. Contributing to an accident will be explained. Safety procedures in lifting, using tools and driving a forklift will be reviewed in this program. (11 minutes)
