Confined Space Entry (C001ME)
Failure to closely follow specific rules, regulations, and confined space safety standards can cause injury or even death. When entering a manhole, vault, or other confined space, there is more involved than just lowering the tester and going to work. This program defines a confined space, rules, and emergency procedures. (18 minutes)
Electrical Safety (1049IE)
This is an excellent training program for all employees. Discusses electrical safety, grounding of electrical equipment, power/extension cords, double-insulation, 3-prong plugs, wires, and a good safety overview of electrical safety in the workplace. Applies to office workers as well as those in the industrial setting. (13 minutes)
Employee Fall Protection (C007PE)
Falls from almost any height can cause serious injury or death. OSHA requires fall protection at 6 feet or higher. Fall protection can be guardrails, safety nets, and covers for holes or gaps. This program focuses on the types of personal fall arrest systems such as full body harness, lanyard and snap-hooks. (21 minutes)
Hazardous Communications - Your Right to Know (C001HE)
This program provides information you need to protect yourself and others when working with hazardous materials and chemicals. A hazardous chemical that poses a physical or heal hazard. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are explained and their purpose. This is information you need to know when working around hazardous chemicals. (10 minutes)
Introduction To OSHA (1054AE)
OSHA was created over 37 years ago to help protect the safety of workers from the hazards of job related injuries and illnesses. Before OSHA existed, work related injuries, illness, and fatalities were at an all time high. This program discusses not only the founding of OSHA, but also how it affects all workers within the US. (22 minutes)
Lifting Safely in Construction (C003GE)
Explains the mechanics of the back, how strains and muscles work so you can prevent back injuries. Discs can become damaged through excessive twisting, turning and bending. The back has a 10:1 ratio to the object you lift. In this video we will show you how to approach lifting in a safe manner. (12 minutes)
Lockout/Tagout - Hazardous Energy Source (C001EE)
Control of hazardous energy sources is a requirement that organizations must implement for the safety of all employees. Locking out electricity prevents electrical equipment from accidental release of power during maintenance and repair. Release of chemicals or chemical reactions is other energy sources that must be controlled, dissipated or turned off. This program explains the basic procedures, terminology and general requirements. (10 minutes)
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (C001PE)
Safety glasses face shields, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, gloves, hard hats, and respirators are called PPE. This program will discuss how important it is to wear this equipment for your safety on the job. As an example, you will need to wear a hard hat all the time to protect yourself from overhead hazards or falling objects. The company provides PPE – it’s up to you to wear it! (14 minutes)
Trenching and Shoring Operations (C002ME)
An excavation is any man-made cavity or depress in the earth’s surface. The “Angle of Repos”e is explained. Current OSHA regulations require excavations over 5’ deep be sloped, shored, sheeted, braced – otherwise supported. The program also covers emergency procedures if workers have to leave a trench quickly. (12 minutes)
Unsafe Acts – Human Behavior (1003CE)
The National Safety Council has analyzed employee accidents and determined the cause of most accidents is due to unsafe acts by employees. Contributing to an accident will be explained. Safety procedures in lifting, using tools and driving a forklift will be reviewed in this program. (11 minutes)
